Well, it's more fun and satisfying when you come back. We learned about ourselves and find hope for the future during that run. Elsewhere Kentucky beat Jacksonville State 100-25 and UConn is up on Pacific 84-38 with 13:54 to play. Fun? Not so much.

Chelsea Poppens has reportedly worked hard on her FT shooting. So far this season, she's 10-10 from the line. This from someone who's FT shooting two years ago could be described as Shaq-esque.

I knew she looked good, I didn't realize she's perfect. She was horrendous and that one hand shot wasnt great, but, it turned out well. If she will learn not to get to far under she will score off that short game as well.

I suppose that makes sense, I knew ISU wasn't great before Fennelly, but that just kinda surprised me. Oh well, **** drake.

And back in the Wanda Ford and the like days, Drake was a national contender.. and, well, ISU wasn't.

BF has said repratedly she's been great in practice, so I'm guessing that shot will start falling soon. In the meantime, she's led the team in FT attempts both seasons she's been here, so actually shooting them well is a huge bonus.

I thought we also tightened up on defense - didn't give them so much space.

Brynn hit a three - it was our first one of the game. You could just feel the entire team get energized after that three went in.

Saw Anna in the grocery store on Monday. When I asked her about the knee, she merely said that it was getting better.

I expect Pop, Prins, and Hallie to all play around 25 minutes per game. Who starts probably won't matter much.

Prins had her knee scoped will be back in 2-3 weeks.

These Drake video feed announcers are annoying - and they keep saying ISU is ranked #21 in the country, but I double checked and we're #31 in the coaches poll.

Anyway great game by the Twister Sisters! I think the team might have found some identity tonight. We may not have a central senior leader like in past years with Lacey and Bolte, but tonight we had lots of different people step up in big ways.

Speaking of Allison Lacey, she sat next to us and Bill Fennelly and his wife during the men's Drake game. Talked to her about having pic taken with her when a whole bunch of ISU fans went to Minn for her Seattle team game last yr. She is back to visit boyfriend and look for a job she says.
