71-64 final. We showed up for the last five or so minutes and that was enough. We'll need to be better than that against better teams.
That said, we showed an awful lot recovering from a frustrating 35 minutes to breakthrough and take the game over.

Loz went to the point when we needed to settle the team down. Did well. Better defense after the 10 minute left mark. I thought it would be Brynn(sp) to hit the 3. Thought she should have played sooner.

No. This may shock you, but the Drake commentators don't know what they're talking about.
Primarily, we made shots. Really that was about it. Williamson hit a pair, Pop got some layups to fall, Moody made some layups, and he hit FT down the stretch.
I think we did a better job of defensive rebounding and not fouling during the stretch as well.
No. Mediacom is full of idiots. We probably will be ranked later in the year, but as of now, we are not.

These Drake video feed announcers are annoying - and they keep saying ISU is ranked #21 in the country, but I double checked and we're #31 in the coaches poll.
Anyway great game by the Twister Sisters! I think the team might have found some identity tonight. We may not have a central senior leader like in past years with Lacey and Bolte, but tonight we had lots of different people step up in big ways.

I love the idea that Nikki Moody is going to be ISU's point guard for the next 3 years! Yes, she makes some mistakes......but it is only her 2nd game starting. You can't teach speed.....and she is one of the fastest pg's ISU has ever had. It will be fun to watch.

Of note: When Moody wasn't playing PG, Mansfield was. I don't mind that. Mansfield was the starting 2G and backup PG.
I really liked the way the team kept battling when down by 13 in the 2nd half. Kept after it, got some shots to fall, and clamped down on defense. Great win, but had some coachable moments that will help this team out in the long run.
Elsewhere, A&M beat Louisville 76-58. Louisville had a good run, but, are they really #9, this year? For this year, A&M is our conference which has lost only once - Stanford took Texas. WVU is unranked - not even getting votes.

Do they think they played Florida State? Purdue? LSU? These are the team that are or were ranked 21st in the two polls.
