***ISU vs CMU***

Hard to beat a team that shoots 60% from three. The rebounding was inexcusable though.

I hate to say it, but BF teams have always struggled against good mid- major teams. Remember Marist? Dayton? Wisconsin Green-Bay?

I honestly thought our post game would be better at this point. Coach was so high on Mere and Bride to start the season. Mere is a great person, but she should be highly motivated when a frosh and gets double her minutes.

Was hoping for a closer game but when the other team has 4 returning starters and a transfer it is tough. We are a work in progress. We have 6 players from last years team (missing 2 that could be playing now) and 4 new players.

Minutes played /points scored last year:
Bridget 1019 min. 465 pts
Emily 719 min. 268 pts
Meredith 734 min. 249 pts
Claire 116 min. 23 pts
Adriana 187 min. 59 pts
Nia 183 min. 46 pts.

The 4 new players will take some time getting up to D1 caliber of play. They all have good stats from where they played last year (high school & juco) but we who follow WBB at this level know it is a completely different game from where they played last year. All 4 have shown some good play through the first 6 games but still have a lot of room to grow. We have 6 more games i the pre-season (two will be very tough Drake & Iowa as they love to beat us) before the Big 12 starts and I will not judge this team till we get to that point. I will just continue to go to the games and cheer our Cyclones on. Go Cyclones !!

Did the Big 12 coaches not do a preseason Big 12 finish pick this year? Never saw anything on the Big 12 site. I usually find it at least somewhat interesting how the coaches view the teams.

Big 12 coaches did not do a poll this year - saw it somewhere on ESPN. Per the article, it was a coaches decision not to do a poll.

The last few years have been tough for me to to watch. Just don't think CBF is able to motivate the players for what ever reason and maybe that's the wrong word. We shouldn't ever lose to a UNI or CMU team for that matter. Feel bad for them and do hope they get back on the winning track.

We return three starters from the last game of last year so it's not like the men's team with only one late season freshman starter back along with the 6th and 7th/8th guy. We have a senior and two juniors starting, that should be a pretty good foundation. Most years you are going to graduate starters. This isn't like a rebuilding year but we are a little lean in two classes because of Jadda leaving, TeeTee leaving and the weak recruiting class of 2016.

Drake and Iowa will very likely be losses unless we get our act together better. The rest of the NC should be wins, a bad Vandy team on the road and three cupcakes at Hilton.

They have the individual talent to do okay in conference play if they get some sort of identity. Every game so far looks like an exhibition experiment with the coaching looking undecided on who to play when and where. If Scott and Wise can provide some points and Johnson can provide some PG minutes they could be decent by February. Going to be watching the freshman with interest. Really not expecting much from Kennedy-Hopoate come Big 12 time.

And, yes, it's Sunday night and I am bored.
