no, i'm not a fan of this combo either. i think it would be rare to see a good uniform where the helmet, jersey and pant color are all distinctly different color...unless you like looking like a bomb pop.

Top two here, in chrome alternative. Don't think this will happen anytime soon, but looks good.

I apologize for the crude mock-ups, but I would love to see these as our primary uniforms. Once they are designed by a professional, there might be some things that need to be changed, but in general, I like this look.
PS. I could take or leave the Trice shadow on the front of the jersey.

Yes, Amestoplease is the only one who has any business posting in this thread, as seen in mock-up above. For my money, that is the 2nd best option.
Even better to me was this variant - Real gold, cyclone on helmet, trice stripes on pants and jersey sleeve.

This one is great. I have always hated the white pants stripe. The Trice stripes also tie the top and pants together while calling back to our history. Lastly, its a unique design for football. Colors aside, this is what our jerseys and pants should be.

I like the trice stripes on the helmet, its a nice touch. Though, i think i like the stripes on the pants coming down from the hip instead of up from the knee.

I'd like to see a real-photo mock-up of these. You're onto something. I'm a longtime fan of gold-cardinal-gold (so that helps). Also, would it look dumb to have the Trice-stripes at front of helmet, instead of in back? (It'd probably have to be smaller).
This is also easily adaptable for all combos involving gold, cardinal andpossibly even all-white. Keeps the branding of I-State logo, doesn't stray significantly from current scheme ... could be primary or used as occasional alternate.
Trice stripes are hot... Surprising how many athletic gold (not metallic) haters there seem to be. We need a poll to determine if this is a vocal minority or a chintzy revolution! I for one cannot imagine having to wear a cardinal tee-shirt with metallic gold screenprinting...
All whites would be tricky as far as maintaining enough cardinal and gold to be easily identifiable.
The ghost swirl or Trice stripes is a cool idea but I think there gets to be too much going on. Especially if you the ghost stripes behind the numbers. No mock up of it yet but I imagine it being a little overkill.
My request for shopping is the following:
1. Current red helmet.
2. Current colors.
3. Remove ghost swirl.
4. Add tv numbers on top of shoulders.
5. Trice strips on outer shoulders and pants.
