ISU Tickets

Sweet Caroline should only be played AFTER the game and only IF WE WIN. It is a good celebration song.

Otherwise I don't want to hear it.

I don't have any problem with the song , and kind of enjoy the little stadium sing-along BUT the times they choose to play it are BRUTAL!

Kent State: Right after Kent State scores.
UNI: While we come out of the locker room to start the 2nd half.

WTF?!?!

You could find a more appropriate time to play the song by setting it to start the same time someone wins "cow bingo"! (county fair reference)

I don't need any tickets, but anyone frustrated enough to sell me a G7 parking permit can email me. I got a $10 spot for anyone's permit in that section for this week.

No kidding. "Sweet Caroline" can be our equivalent of the Pukeyes "In Heaven There Is No Beer".

"In Heaven There Is No Beer".
Hey I loved that song...in High School pep band before 'The Man' informed us we had to stop playing it.
Da** the Man.

I think those who are looking to unload tickets would have been unloading them even if we were 2-0 the difference is people won't be profiting off those tickets this year, its just the way its works.

Keep sweet caroline at the bar at 1:45 am where it belongs, yea it makes people cheery but so do wins!

I think we should just pump sweet caroline into the visitors locker room 24/7...Its brought us nothing but bad luck!

I have to work these games to feed you drunken (some ) fans, but I'll buy a couple tickets, just to keep them away from the Iowa fans.

Go ahead and rag on them, these guys aren't close to being as bad as the Walden era Cyclones. Competition is better, and so is our team. We'll get it together, and we'll shock at least one team this year. I think Iowa is too soon, but we'll knock someone off. Everyone of those players has to buy into the system, and they aren't doing it. The mistakes are killing us, not the talent.

All of you can spout off about how you can rag about everything about this team, but just remember those statements when something good happens. And keep your head down when the rest of us remind you about it. I'm prepared to take criticism for my views, too.

And before saying those derogatory statements, just picture yourself saying that statement in front of one of the football players, or coaches. If you aren't prepared to do that, perhaps you shouldn't say it online, either.

I just find it interesting how many people (students especially) are DESPERATELY trying to get rid of ISU Football tickets for the rest of the year. I've already talked to at least 15 people after last night's game who are getting rid of them, and in the "Marketplace" listings in student Facebook, there are about 20 tickets for the ISU-UI game next weekend.

It will be interesting to see how ticket sales will go next year if we go, say 4-8 this year. We had a lot of momentum going into this season (ie Blythe and Meyer as seniors, the Chiz show coming to town, Iowa, UNI, Texas, and Oklahoma at home, etc.) And JPollard said no single game tickets, and now single game tickets are available. I wonder about next year, will anyone buy season tickets if JP "claims" that he will not sell them again, or how our fan base will support the program. JP wanted 35,000 season tickets by 2008(?), we got it this year, I wonder if we'll get it next year.

Why does a post like this pass the moderators... anyways... you are not even correct in your statement that Pollard went against his word about selling single game tickets. He said no IOWA game tickets would be sold as single game tickets and to that he IS keeping is word. Please don't rant on here things that are not true. I agree with other postings... those selling tickets and you wanna say 20.... would have been selling for various reasons either way. Save your money BFERIN.. don't buy a ticket next year... save em for TRUE FANS and those not misquoting our AD on message boards.

GO CLONES !
