" Roy will gameplan against ISU like Duke. Meeks and Joel James are likely to be ineffective because they lack speed and hops. Brice and McAdoo should have a field day because they are quick and tall. Hubert could be useful as a defensive presence. I don't see any particular advantage to having Britt and Paige on the court at the same time, unless it is with Tokoto, Brice Johnson, and McAdoo. That lineup is both quick and tall. If Tokoto and MacDonald play their guys to a standstill, UNC will win easily. "

They sound like we do, "why do so many guys have career nights against us?" I like it, someone from ISU is gonna have a huge game!

If we shoot threes well, we win. This may happen since we look much better in the last five games shooting threes. Looking for Naz to start since he gets up and down the court faster than Edozie.

My guess is Naz sets a career scoring high. Perhaps a hot game coming from Thomas as well.

13 for 18 threes would work.

15 for 17 free throws would also be nice.

39 rebounds would help.

No Fred timeouts would be splendid.

Only six clone turnovers would be cool.

Add four blocks for posterity.

Six steals would be a feel good.

Roy taking off his court after five minutes would be pleasant.

Let's do them all in this game.

If Naz sets a career high for scoring, Iowa State wins this easily. His career high is like 26, right?

I think Naz starts with many minutes going to Edozie to limit fouls on Ejim and Hogue.
My predictions:
Naz shoots 50% from 3
Thomas scores 5 points
Edozie has 9 points and 7 rebounds
Ejim has a quiet 1st half and big 2nd half
Kane has 26 points and 7 rebounds
Monte gets 8 assists
SDW scores
Hogue gets in foul trouble
ISU wins by 7
Hope I'm right on the last one. :)

Well, since the big 3 score a vast majority of the points by ISU it is a very good possibility that someone has a career day for ISU. I agree with one of the other posters, lets have Naz have a record day. That would work well.

I know it's been stated before, but I really don't think that their bigs are going to have a field day inside. They more output more, but I'm doubting it will be by a ton. Niang was obviously a presence inside on the defensive end, but he's not even in the top 3 for rebounds on our team even though he's the tallest guy who plays. We've been battling guys who are as big, if not bigger, than UNC's bigs all year long and guys like Hogue and Ejim still come out very well on defensive numbers with stuff like rebounding.

As long as we can play more intense defense..it shouldn't be as much of a factor as people think.

A quote from a member of their forums: "The Iowa State team I watched last night was the fastest, quickest, most lethal scoring team we've yet faced this season."

List of notable teams UNC played: Louisville, MSU, Kentuckey, Syracuse, PITT, Duke

Lots of focus here just on points. Getting points off assists is still our key. And I would look for us to do more on the offensive boards because UNC won't play fast.

You know Coach Williams will be attacking us inside and try to get our BIGS in foul trouble early. If we can't defend this and stay out of foul trouble we will be swimming upstream without a paddle IMO.
