ISU ranked 15 - CBS poll

I don't understand the "we are too young to be ranked. We don't have enough experience yet"

What? Did you not watch the game last night? I think we had less team error than Michigan. Did we have sloppy passes and a few personal mental errors? Yes. Did we have a lot of miscommunicated passes or team errors? Not that I recall. This team deserves to be ranked after that performance last night.

I hate being ranked early in the season. Put's a big target on your back and this is still a team that hasn't played a lot together.

My dream...another BCS conf level school rushes the court after they defeat us at their house. I want that target on our backs.

^ Hopefully you understand my intent with that statement.

I hate when people say they'd rather not be ranked. Do you think Kansas or Duke say that? This is where Fred is taking us. If you want to score some upsets and be known as the nice story every year, that's fine, don't like bein ranked. But if you want to chase Final Fours and championships, you'd better plan on being okay with being ranked in the future.

Plus, if you're ranked people see your results on every sports event ticker. It keeps you in the public eye, builds the brand, and raises your visibility to recruits and potential recruits. Yeah, you get more negative attention when you lose, but the benefits outweigh the negatives.

Turnovers were the same. Rebounds similar by one more for thjem. Shot better % twos, threes, and free throws than Mich by a bit. We deserved to win inexperienced/new/injured or not.

Even then it isn't negative attention, because it's a big deal for the ranked team to lose.

Exactly, most nights every rated team gets mentioned on Sportscenter, which airs nonstop basically. Relevance can do wonders.

:jimlad:?? If you hate being ranked then you hate winning. Besides, if we lose to teams we shouldn't lose to then we don't deserve to be ranked..plain and simple.
