With totally unreliable punting it'd be wise to put your best players on the punt team, I don't think there's really a choice.

Even his shorter punts at least got some hang time. I don’t think either of them were returned.

I clocked one of his in the second half at around 4.5 seconds, which is pretty ideal

His short two traveled 35 yards, probably why there wasn’t a return. His only long one was returned fairly well.

Shook's last punt was a nice one. Seemed like more of a coverage breakdown that caused the return.

Don't know that he's a clear favorite, but his hangtime has to work in his favor.

Yeah, the coverage is poor. If you rewatch the good returns, not all of them were due to the kicker/punter. We abandon our lanes rapidly. Containment guys and gunners are not following typical assignments (maybe or coaches have different assignments for them than basically everyone else, I don’t specifically know).
