I haven't checked a replay yet, but I believe I saw some counters and pulling linemen (could have been TE, too--need to check).

Seemed to be effective as well. Didn't seem like the defenders knew exactly where every run was going on every play so they had to hesitate just a moment.

I only watched the 2nd and 3rd quarters on TV but it looked promising. The line wasn't exactly "beating" their guys, but having to make them think seems to be slowing them down just enough for our guys to net a little extra yardage on average.

Props to Campbell and Scheelhaase for continuing to tweak things.

My take away was that it was the run plays being called, but I will agree TEs were much more involved. More of the slow developing plays were still getting blown up as they struggled to maintain blocks. However getting the ball to the line of scrimmage or edge quickly worked well as the OL looked good on initial contact last night. Using the passing game has also played a big role in the run game.

Good to see the staff adjusting and calling a game that fits the personnel up front.

Tweaked some lane plays and played different lineman and the line has gotten much better. Still a long ways to go, but the line was at rock bottom. Getting Simmons out of the lineup has been a huge plus for this team.

I thought the RBs were pausing and reading blocks better also, instead of just barreling in to the line.

I thought I saw a couple of pulls last night too, but hard to tell live in the stands. If we don’t have the biggest guys, gotta make them move. Hope we continue to see that type of creativity.

Neal absolutely buried a guy at the right edge on a play and the RB hit inside that block. Great play by him in addition to everyone else making their blocks to open up a huge hole.

TE's are doing a much better job of blocking. Sama run was due to great block by Brahmer.
That us critical to ISU success
