I can’t decide if I should be excited or concerned that the King appeared to be taking it to our 6th year senior and alleged defensive stopper. I’ll go with the former for now.

We have already seen how good he defends but have never seen Eli in real game action. To me that video is exciting going off of what we know already.

This is a highlight video, to be fair. Maybe he had one good possession against Kalscheur (who really is a known commodity at this point considering he's played 3,862 college minutes so far).

The other ones we didn't see...? We don't know. Maybe a bunch of turnovers. Maybe not.

Seeing the potential that he has with the attitude and the ability to take it to a guy who is known as a defensive stopper from the outside does bode pretty well for him, though. I'll take it.

No idea where you would get the latter comment. It's complimentary of an individual player for working his butt off and getting better. There is no downside to that.

Kind of sucks we're not paired with an old Big 8 foe, but I get it. Kansas - Kansas State and Oklahoma - Oklahoma State make sense. I wonder once the traitors leave if we get paired with Oklahoma State?

Can't count us so it would only be 14 conference games total. Down from 18 now. That sucks
