ISU MBB attendance...

It's got to be ticket sales, but does anybody do actual attendance? We certainly don't. For the Drake football game, they weren't even scanning our tickets; so no actual attendance numbers for that game. And no way basketball AVERAGED 14,099 actual attendance!
On the contrary, every time I watched a game in Lincoln this past year on BTN, there weren't many empty seats...
Biggest surprise for me on the list is Marquette. I had no idea they got that attendance, but it does help playing in an NBA arena.
At minimum,there should be a separate ranking that accounts for capacity, ranked by percentage. Of course Iowa State is unlikely to top attendance at larger venues (because it isn't possible, looking purely at numbers).
Yes, but you can make the same case for a lot of schools above and below us on the list.
Yes, but at the same time we also do have one of the most supportive fan bases. I think if we had a stadium that could seat 19,000 it would be full for almost every conference game and Iowa.
No. Too many games when it snows. Like every effing one last year.
Last year had to have been one of the worst home game weather seasons that i can remember. Just absolutely brutal!
Watching some older clips recently, Hilton has been slacking the last couple of years. Obviously, two years ago was a disaster, but last year was a snoozer in there. Hopefully we can get back to creating all-time moments in that building. We were spoiled in the Hoiberg era.
And I still made any of them that work didn't interfere, but there were questionable drives home.
I skipped multiple games and I love driving in bad weather. From CR it just turns into a 8-9 hour ordeal, round trip.
Something called Bluefield State (Div. II) averaged 10, TEN fans per game???? Yowza.
I think the reason it's felt a little weird the last two years was the full departure of guys like Monte, Naz, Matt, and even Deonte. We developed such amazing relationships with those players and then they were just gone. Our team was left with a few guys coming back but other than that it was brand new guys and some one year guys added late. We then get a full slate of recruits last year and a few transfers and it seemed like another new team. I think this year, with the guys coming back and the relationships they've been able to build with the fans and the community, we will latch onto those guys and have that "feel" come back to Hilton.
