ISU looking into incident that involves Sims

Disagree and it wasn't with Satterfield and Everson. That story was swept uder the rug hard and the only news source that pursued it rigorously was the Press-Citizen. The Rag turned it's head.

Interesting enough, Do a Google search for Adrian Clayborn Assault and then do a Google search for "Adrian Clayborn Assault Des Moines REgister." I think you will see what I am talking about. The Gazette and Press-Citizen do a decent job of covering it but the Rag is MIA.

This makes zero sense. The PC and the DMR are owned by the same company, share resources, and often stories. The DMR also maded dozens of public record requests around the case. That seems at odds with the DMR turning it's head.

There is fire with this smoke.

I attempted to post something about it yesterday, but of course my threads were deleted.

From my sources it involves "finding" a credit card and not making good decisions from there....

(hopefully this post sticks around)

kids these days

Oh a little credit card fraud, eh? Sounds like a vitimless crime to me. He probably found it, picked it up with the intention of returning it to the true owner, and accidentally used it the next time he was buying food for the homeless.

First Mcdermott quits and goes to Creighton
Then Hoiberg get's hired
Hoiberg get's all the recruits to stay commited.
Then the Big 12 keeps us and gives us a huge pay raise.
We pick up Royce White a five star player

Seriously you guys did not expect something to go against us. ISU has never had that many things in a row go our way.

No kidding. Every time there is a negative ISU incident it turns into..."well, well...look what the Hawks have done."

Agree 100%. Would everyone stop the silly Hawk banter. This has nothing to do with them or how KF handles situations. It's not an argument to difuse the situation, it just makes us look childish.

a friend of mine had her credit card stolen. the perpetrators went to gumbys pizza and ordered delivery. she called to cancel the credit card and was told that a charge was just placed at gumbys.

she calls police and has them contact gumbys to get the delivery address. the police go with the delivery guy and deliver a slice of cheesy justice.

i hope this situation is similar in stupidity to that one. that would just make my day:no:

Nice imagery, York!

Personally I think, since he has had two very serious run ins with the law (speeding and window tint) since arriving here, if true this should be considered his third strike.

Oh, yeah...:jimlad:

5 star post. I agree.

If a trial is needed, maybe it can get delayed until after the season:jimlad:

I just get more amazed the more I think about that. There just aren't enough o's in stooopid to describe that!

Iowa Courts Online has an entry dated 7/21/10 with a Case Title "SEARCH WARRANT RE SIMS AND FUNKHOUSER" (weren't Sims and Funkhouser a pop group in the 80's?). Anyway, it says the Creation Date was 7/21/10, the Disposition Date was 7/21/10, and states No Charges Found. Maybe a case id is assigned just for the issuing of a search warrant (which would explain why it was opened and closed the same day), then if other charges are filed a new case id would be created.

"victimless crime" - that reminds me of what my former colleague experienced several years ago.
She was visiting from New York City and her credit cards got stolen without her realizing it until the next day, her credit card company (CCC) called her as someone used it in a store in Midwest.
So she closed the CC, called the cops and the cops said that since the CCC already declined the charges and she wouldn't have to pay for the transactions, then she was not a victim, but the store must report it in order for the cops to start investigating.
She called the store but the store was not really inclined to figure out as "everything will be covered by insurance'.

:wideeyed:

Who cares how KF would avoid handling this. Our focus should really be on figuring out what this guy would do......
