ISU Gets A New Helmet After All...

Looks like ISU is going to introduce a new helmet for a couple games this fall.

What does everyone think?

That's my issue. Glossy decal on matte finish...yuck. I like the concept, but execution leaves something to desire.

Ugh, more red logo on red helmet which are almost impossible to match. Do you think this will be used at a home game? I just don't see it working that great with cardinal jerseys.

I hope that sticker was just for this picture and they get some kind of matte finish for the real thing. Jeez we are terrible at uniforms.

I have to laugh when Rhoads says, 'I am a traditionalist'. Yes, because ISU's brand has such tradition? We'd be 100 times better off embracing the new uniform cultures out there rather then sticking to our 'traditional' USC knock-offs.

I like it....i know a lot of people want the uniforms changed up a lot, but I've always really thought it looks cool when schools just put matte on the helmets..I like that look better myself.

Personally I would prefer the whole helmet as the matte cardinal finish with no logo at all.

Keep that red matte look and add a matte golden "I" for the decal.

I like the matte but that decal on it looks awful.

Red on Red is dumb. And traditionally ISU had yellow helmets. So WTH is PR talking about? Get some cool uniforms for once, dammit.

I kind of like a matte helmet with "cooler, modern" jerseys...seems like Okie State does that and it looks really sharp.
