Some parents are willing to buy their underage kids alcohol or even host parties serving alcohol to underage kids.
Just because someone is the parent in the relationship, doesn't mean they always make adult decisions.
I'd probably let my kids gamble when 18. I illegally played online poker for money back in the day. Played friends for money starting at like age 14.
I wouldn't care if they went to a friends house and played poker or whatever when they're 14, assuming they're not losing (or probably even winning) massive amounts of money. I'm sure as **** not creating a draftkings account in my name for them to use. I'd place a bet for them though, unless they were dumb and wanted to bet the over on the cyhawk game or something.
So has there been any kind of confirmation or anything about Dekkers official status with the team. I know he hasn't been practicing and his lawyers statement said he was taking a leave from the team to focus on academics and his legal defense. So if Dekkers wanted to come back to the team could he? It doesn't seem like he officially quit and he hasn't officially been removed from the team. Seems it's just in limbo right now. It's odd to me that there wouldn't be definitive statement on his status as a member of the team at this point given the info thats out there.

You'll be sharing quite a bit of financial info with your children when you file FAFSA forms for college applications. SSNs included.
I imagine your kids will also discover your filing system for birth certificates and such when they're getting jobs at 16.
The inescapable truth, though, is that the mom should have been getting 1099 forms from DK so there's no way she could not have been a willing participant...
There is a potential reality that it was a February (1099 mailer) discovery and she tried to clean up the mess after the fact. ("HUNTER DECKERS! What have you been doing!?")
On the bright side this is one less player name for ISU fans to misspell despite seeing it constantly, all the time, endlessly, forever, everywhere.
Not defending their actions, but I doubt they even realized they had an electronic footprint or knew how cell phones worked.
I've never gotten a 1099 from DK in the 3 years I've been using it..
Dk I think sent me an email saying to download them from your app or website login under the tax document tab. I think you might have to opt in to paper.
They're 18 so they get to make adult decisions, but I certainly wouldn't ever encourage gambling myself. It's highly addictive and could have devastating life affects on people that can't handle that dopamine rush. But I come from a family that's dealt with addiction issues so I'm hyper aware of that.
I'm pretty sure what's come out so far is it as far as those who committed actual crimes.. The rest would be NCAA violations.
Shouldn't that be resolved by now though?
