Who would be the best person to be ISU’s HC?

The dude can coach. Is he sketchy as hell? Oh yeah. But he can flat out coach, recruit and most importantly, he wins. (Ask KU. Is Self and KU sketchy as hell? F yeah they are and they are unapologetic about it. This is a coach that could turn it around quickly. It's all about W's and ISU needs to get back in the business of winning.)

The only person slimier than Calipari might be Rick P. The thought of RP coaching ISU makes me throw up in my mouth. Even if he would win a NC it would always be tainted in my mind so much that I would rather not have won one if it involves him at the helm.

I think he's sort of too old, and too crooked. but yet I'm sort of intrigued by the idea. LOL

Or think of it this way: Pitino has had only one non-vacated NCAA Tournament win since 08-09.

We need to hire TJ so their kids will play their ball at ISU. Its a super slow play, but we are getting used to being bad. I call it the McCaffrey way.

Big difference in Keno and the other two. When Keno was at Drake if you did a great job coaching you were in the tournament. Barring a crazy season, the valley now is almost always going to be a one bid league. Devries has done about as good a job as you can ask and they probably are left out if they lose in arch madness.

Medved is a really good coach. Of the somewhat realistic options I think he’s the best coach. I could see him heading to Minnesota when they finally can Pitino

I’m not sure I’d call it angst. I’d say it’s pretty rational to not be super excited about a guy that is at best the 4th best coach in the MWC. I will be excited for TJ if he is named coach, but at this point I’d be excited for about anyone.

I don’t if they would come to ISU or if it would translate, but Smith and Medved are probably better coaches than TJ.

I don’t really give a **** about who the better coach is. I give a **** about who the best recruiter is. At a place like ISU, in a conference like the Big12, better get players or it won’t matter how good of a coach you are.

Well, it’s going to be tough to tell how good TJ is now as a head coach vs Smith or Medved in recruiting because regardless of coach unlv destroys the rest of the MWC in recruiting. SDSU comes close sometimes, but that’s it.
