ISU Alert System has actually been used

My phone started going off at 4:30 this morning. This is the first time in my 5 years here where the alert system has been used for something other then a test or weather related event.

Hope they catch the guy. Seems like the perfect job for a canine unit to run him out.

At South Carolina I believe we used it like 3 times in a week this semester and two of the instances were armed robbery with the 3rd being a rape. Consider yourself lucky.

Find it very humerous that people like you want to complain about something that is being used to keep people safe and alerted.

For everyone's future reference you can set it to only send an email. After the one other time it actually got used (I think it was a kid on campus with a BB gun or something) I changed it to not call me

how old is his phone? Don't all phone alarm clocks still go off when the ringer is on silent?
