ISU -33 vs Kansas this weekend

If the rain holds off, ISU might cover. If it's a sloggy quagmire, all bets are off.

Hope we speed up our offensive pace, as I think Purdy functions best that way. This has us as 104th in the country in pace.

This is pretty good info...why...why are we calling plays so slow. Supposedly we have the depth to interchange pieces if we speed up plays. That last drive vs. Baylor was a killer. Speed it up, Coach!

I think it's mindset. Tire out their defense, rest ours and chew clock. I get that formula when you're up double digits, but I think it's counterproductive to how Purdy likes to play, particularly in games where we're struggling to move the ball.

Rhythm is so important in pretty much any sport and it's weird that this much experience can't find it yet.

I don't think Oregon or Oklahoma hurry up style like 10 years ago is needed but get downhill and stay there.

Is rhythm doing things faster or doing things consistently? If the offensive players are comfortable at the pace they are going, then let them.

Keep in mind that Tennessee is fastest paced. And Tennessee sucks.

I especially like it when they ramp it up after a successful play. Don't let the defense sub or get its balance.

Consistency.

Imo the players don't look comfortable, nor are their skills being utilized (Purdy in the pocket).

Agreed, but we need to run play action out of that hurry up look. I know we had 3-4 plays against baylor after a bigger play that we went hurry up. I believe all of them were run plays.

It's probably not a fair comparison, but Aaron Rodgers does a fantastic job of these hurry up plays.

Yep, and those run plays, if I recall, were simple Breece up the middle calls that basically wasted a down and killed momentum. Coach, follow the big play up with a kill shot.

We definitely have a tendency to run it on first down.

Judging by all of the ticket offers for this game on the ticket exchange you wonder how many people who have tickets are actually going?

I think we will have 33 by halftime.
Backups need to play a lot in this game. Getting young talent some reps will go a long way in boosting team morale. And oh and let's get some explosive games in the pass game. Ramming Breece 22 times up the middle is just not necessary this week.
