ISR March to Madness thread

You can still f*** up your ankle with a brace but I agree rest is going to be the only thing you can do to make it better. So yeah, playing in the Big 10 Tournament seems incredibly stupid.
I would look at it differently if they were playing for something in the BIG 10 tournament other than the tournament itself. If they thought they could play themselves up a seed or two or hang on to their seed. Chances are good they are locked in as a 2 no matter what. Could they possibly drop to a 3? Perhaps but unlikely. Committee will know full well if they are going at it without Wieskamp. It would take pretty good runs by a couple teams for that to come into play at this point. Just sit him I'd say.

Like any ankle it all depends on how much rest they give him. I honestly think they would be bonkers to have him play at all in the BTT. With a solid 2 weeks of rest you can get to pretty close to 100% depending on how low the sprain was. He was wearing a brace so I imagine it wasn’t bad enough to do any tendon damage.
The BTT is what college basketball is all about. Who cares about the NCAA tourney. Right @CyTwins

Football is all about the "mythical" regular season title. Basketball is all about the conference tournament. No backwards thinking there at all.
I think the Regular Season Conference Championship is more important in both football and basketball FWIW

How would an Iowa fan under 40 even know if a regular season or post season title feels better? It's been a generation or two.
Why quote me? I'm comparing Conference tournament games to NCAA games. Apparently it's better to win the conference tournament than to win one game in the NCAA tournament.....according to some here anyway.

*One is not like the other* ;)

Not disagreeing, but still a hell of an accomplishment. I think I said it last year and I'll say it again this year. Garza is the most decorated in state player of all time and now there isn't even a close second.

Haha I’m not taking anything away from him. It just proves how unique he is. He was incredible the last two years.
