Is the season over?

At the very least, we can totally write off playing in Des Moines and Kansas City in the NCAAs. We'll go out to far west or something. (I have no idea what the locations are)

What I wish we could write off are your stupid posts, day after day. Put a little thought into your ignorant comments intended only to stir things up. Only thing worse than a troll is a lazy troll.

Of course.

How stupid could a coach be to have an All American at the line with the opportunity to give you a 3 point lead with 15 seconds remaining?

If Fred we’re here, he’d have made the free throws. Prohm is such a bad coach that he makes 75%+ free throw shooters miss.

Between this and the politics board OP is making a run at worst poster on this site. Breathtaking effort.

LW is 126-189 for his career at Iowa State from the FT line. I can think of a lot of coaches that wouldn't choose a 66.7% shooter to have the ball in late situation. But that is the quandry because your best player has to have the ball in his hands.

LW is a 67% career FT shooter so I'm not sure that is the Hill you want to die on.

Fair point. I think where I am heading with this is that the real issue that still exists from last year is we don't have a real leader on the floor. Previously - MM in a quiet manner and Naz and Georges in the more traditional manner - took the team on their shoulders in a key situation and won a number of games because of it. That isn't happening with this group yet. Maybe it is a coach issue. However, If am a college player looking to attract attention to myself and make millions at the next level, I would be praying to be in a situation like LW was on Saturday. I would want to see what his % was in last 2 min of close games. Might still be 67%.

Love LW and he will be fine and I hurt for him because I am certain he knew the deal. Will be interesting to see how he responds going forward.

This may be the most overblown thread I have seen in a while. Only 4 games into Big 12 play for peeks sake. LMAO

Probably just people overreacting due to losing 2 games in a row but when you look at the remaining schedule, it’s easy to see the concern.

Currently 2-2. 9-9 probably gets you in. We have 7 home games left. 3 of which are against better teams than the one we just lost to. If you drop one or more of those, you have to win a few road games. Our remaining road schedule is brutal. The most winnable road game remaining is at West Virginia and that’s never an easy place to win.

Remaining games:
@ KU
@ Texas Tech
@ Texas
@ TCU
@ Oklahoma
@ WV
@ Kansas State
@ Ole Miss

That’s really tough. I’d be happy with 1 win there. Even if you win at Ole Miss, it won’t help you get your Big 12 record to an acceptable 9/10 wins to get in. Maybe they could make the tournament at 8-10 if they win at Ole Miss but who knows at this point. We’d all be feeling a lot better had we just split this past week.

Remaining home games:
Texas Tech
Oklahoma
TCU
Texas
Baylor
Oklahoma State
West Virginia

Also a tough slate of games. Before you guys call out the fans who are worried, take a look at the schedule and realize that ISU put themselves in a very tough spot by losing to Baylor and Kansas State.
