Is Fan Engagement a Problem?

Yeah, Fans at home probably knew what was going on more than those at the game. Refs kept going to review table, grabbing monitors, back out on the floor; only to have one call the other one or two back to the monitors. it was like none could make a decision without complete agreement of the others. It was a cluster f**k, then the announcer had the fans cheering; only to be booing when WVA was awarded the ball after all the foul line BS. So it was like yea!!!!!, WTF Jazz missed his shot and WVA made two and got the ball!!!! What the hell!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Speaking of the recently new PA guy, whats with the BRE intro every time he comes into the game etc? I could see original intro, and maybe on a big play, but every time?......its embarassing and almost demeaning when taken to the extreme it has for Robert, imo.

It sounded really loud on the radio. Especially when we were on a roll. Big scoring drought at the end probably quoted the crowd some. Plus the 10 min break for the refs to figure thing out probably also didn’t help.

Take it up with TJ then because it was his idea.

Point taken. But his idea to announce it 12 times a game tho? Its not a big deal, of course, just curious if Robert likes it that much. We're all good.
I think it’s cringe worthy. I will add that I thought Rob played well even though I wanted more Tre in the second half.

Anyone watching the KU-Tech game? The timeout a bit ago they had the music blasting and the crowd was going bananas. We would have filled that timeout with some sort of slow ballad by the band.
We’ve got to have a better performance out of our game ops with recognizing time and situation

That exact scenario occurred on Monday. Made a run early in the 2nd half and WVU took a timeout. I believe 'Sandstorm' played (separate topic for gameday atmosphere) for about 20 sec, only to be cutoff by the band where they do that slow and long build up to the fight song. A complete '100 to 0' change in energy. People in our section looked around at each other like "what the hell".

If TJ stays with the same intro song for next season, he needs to wait about 19 seconds before he walks in. As it is now, the song is still building when he walks in, but the applause is dying down by the time the song really kicks in. His entrance needs to come at the end of the song's build up, so that the music and the crowd build together, climaxed by his entrance.

ISU athletics marketing needs a refresh
I've been to 7 games this year and i could set my watch to whatever song they played being at a specific minute mark of the game.

But i have to remember this is same ath dept that plays 1995 Jock jams and attempts stripe outs without providing shirts to fans so they're pretty out of touch.
Wait- you expect the AD to provide shirts for a stripe out? The tell you what to wear based on section.

yes. that is common in athletics to provide t shirts to fans when promoting stripe out events. two examples below

This year, shirts will be distributed to ALL FANS in the arena, courtesy of Pepsi.

I've always assumed it was NIL branding. It's ok IMO.
