Ipad Apps?

Certainly wouldn't be able to upload any of my photos.

What kind of camera do you have where the photos are larger than 100MB? The raw files from my Canon are only around 12. My camera is getting a little old these days but I was thinking even the current top of the line Canons aren't any bigger than 20-30MB.

Their Android app is atrocious and they don't offer desktop sync in the Personal accounts, in case anyone is wondering.

Yeah, that was the other complaint with the Touchpad version. Not only no syncing you actually had to manually move file by file. If things were automated it would actually be useful. Why don't you upgrade? No thanks, it sounds like the same crap all over again. Dropbox days are numbered with iCloud being released and good riddance.

Listen, for the average user, 50gb is huge. I wouldnt use it to back up everything I have, but its nice for documents and such you need on the go. I use dropbox too and love their desktop sync. Box just offers more space and who knows, someday I may need it and it will be available for me for free. Every one of these storage companies has its tricks n limitations. Cant blame them, hardware costs. They have to make it up somehow.

Exactly. I signed up for this and got the 50gb storage. I should be able to upload all of my photos since none of them are bigger than 100 mb. I figure that it's 50 gb free and stored somewhere that won't get destroyed if my hard drive goes bad. I already have external hard drives, but this gives me a little more peace of mind. Can't replace photos. Oh yeah, and it's free.

Buy a Xoom instead. Bought an IPad for my wife a while back, picked up a Xoom earlier this week. Blows the doors off the IPad.

? This is an ipad app thread. Assume we all have one.

Downloaded this last night. Pretty fun so far.

Cheap, quirky, and fun visuals. It does **** me off greatly at times though. I just finished plants vs zombies finally. So I plan to spend more time on Jelly.

Flipboard is a pretty good app for all sorts of news, also provides a SI swimsuit girl of the day!

The new facebook app works pretty good, Think you need iOS 5 for that.

For work purposes, I use TeamViewer all the time. I never have to bring my laptop home anymore and have full access to everything I have at work....and there is almost not lag at all.

You'll likely want a good Bluetooth keyboard as well.

Anyone have the full version of Pageonce? I have the free version. Trying to figure out if the full version is worth the $13.

Yeah I biffed that one, not a bad deal really.

The iPad isn't the only tablet in town, but for now it's the only one selling in significant numbers. HP recently mothballed its TouchPad tablet just two months after launching it, while Research In Motion is struggling to sell many of its BlackBerry PlayBooks – it shipped just 200,000 in the last financial quarter, versus 9.3m iPads.

Its going to be very hard for other tablet manufacturers to dethrone the iPad. Probably will live the same life that the ipod did. As long as they keep making a solid tablet and giving most consumers what they want, they should remain on top. If the rumor is true that they are looking to sell a 7" to replace the ipod touch, they might get a boost from that as well.
