Dropbox!
Plants vs Zombies.
Ok Ipad users. If I buy one, will it really matter what storage capacity I get if IOS 5 will make use of the cloud? I really dont want to spend the extra dough on the 64gb version if I wont be needing to fill the drive.
The only time I've wanted more space was downloading movies to watch while flying.
I have 6 podcasts and 3 shows (less than a season each) and music. It kills all 64 GB.
Will icloud help with that? It stores all itunes crap out in space from what I understand and you download as you need between devices.
Yeah it should. With the purchased shows and movies you can just download what you need right before/when you need it.
The music it will help also; purchased or music from wherever you got it. But it seems like most people don't really have as much music as they think.
Pictures I'm pretty disappointed it. It's more like sync for recent pics.
I'd get the biggest ipad that fits in your budget. You'll find a way to use it.
Box.net. Is offering 50gb of free cloud storage to ios users till dec. love Dropbox, but can't beat 50gb.
Sort ofThis this the same dropbox promo they ran with the HP Touchpad? I didn't even try it; it is crippled bait-n-switch-ware. You get 50GB but the largest file you can upload or download is 100mb or something like that. If you are using offline storage it is for big files that take up a lot of space. It might be useful if you took you video file, split it up into 5 thousand pieces and uploaded each by hand. Not. Of course you could do what you want to do -> all you have to do is upgrade and that costs money.
Any company that does this sort of crap will never get my business; in the Touchpad world it was kind of an informal boycott. Curious to know if the iPad is the same bait-n-switch ?
The deal gives the 50 gigs to anyone who uses a Box Personal account on any iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch. The personal account is the free option, which would normally come with 5GB of web storage. There would usually be a 25MB single file limit, but those participating in this promotion will get that lifted to 100MB per file as well. Box also offers a $15/month Business plan (which allows 500GB storage and 2GB per-file limit) for those wanting a little more freedom.
