Iowa's Cook out 3-4 weeks

They played better than I thought they would against Notre Dame. May have been a good physical match up (my guess) or a bit of circle the wagons going on there. Either way, tough to lose a player like that when you're already very young and not terribly talented.

Looked like an "us against the world" situation with their decent fresh out and back where Fran and Chyna got their start.

Offensively, yes. Their defense is still atrocious. We should put up 100 on them.

I wouldn't get too confident, Fran has his guys play the clones tough (minus 2 years ago in Carver). Little brother circles this date as their super bowl.
This right here^^^^^. They do have shooters and hence will always have a shooters chance. However, the guys walk into the asylum like two years ago...all business, then no problem. They walk in all cocky....Iowa could pull the upset.

Will be interesting to watch them against the Purple Hawks.

Geben for ND was an even bigger fouling machine than Holden, but Pemsl didn't do squat against him, was scoring against Bonzie, who is very undersized for a 4. Bonzie also got his fair share of points.

I knew Cook was good, I had no idea that Pemsl would look that good as a freshman. Fran got himself a couple of good PF's.

Pemsl looked really good. When he went out is when Notre Dame pulled ahead. Iowa should have kept feeding Pemsl constantly. Notre Dame could not stop him and he was getting them in foul trouble. Instead Jok especially and Bohannon decided to keep shooting. And Jok couldn't hit anything.

The only thing I showed confidence about is that when they lose a game to us they make excuses.

Pemsl is solid on offense but he got eaten alive on the boards and was a no show on defense. Not unlike the last 5 or 6 "good" players Fran has had, he's a one trick pony. His emergence (nor Cooks's absence)doesn't change the game plan, just attack the rim all night. they don't have even one average on ball defender.
