Iowa vs Penn State

Iowa did what they had to do to win. With Clifford out of the game Penn State had no answer. At some point, a good team won't give them 4 or 5 turnover opportunities and they will have to lean on Petras. I can see them winning out and getting exposed in the B1G championship followed by the bowl game.

Alright I can’t do this anymore. I feel sick to my stomach defending that team. See y’all next week.

No one is saying this isn't what they do. But they are on record pace for turnovers and turnover margin at this point. That 2011 Bama team (regarded as one of the top-5 defenses of all-time) I believe was only plus-17 or 18 on turnovers that year. That defense was light years better than this Iowa one. Teams rarely crossed the 50 against them until the game was well in hand.
The good news for them is that they can probably beat everyone else on their schedule without being +3.

they are a college version of those good Bears teams about a decade ago winning with D/special teams and a poor offense that always gets good field position or spotted points from the other units

Yes i get what you're saying, but Clifford gave them their first score; just threw it right to them.

We can handle it, but we just hate it. As a season ticket holder and a fan of over 40 years, I keep wondering, "when do we have that one season, where we catch or make all of our breaks?".

Screw EIU.

season 45 here :) Both of our NuttCups have more crater dents than the dark side of the moon :)

Game played out kind of how I thought. I picked Iowa to win 16-13 in the other ISR thread. Didn't expect PSU's QB to get hurt so that was definitely huge, but credit to Iowa's defense.
