IOWA vs IOWA STATE

Kane, Morris or even Thomas can slice and dice Iowa's zone pressure. I'm sure with the extra practice time these last two weeks they've been working on breaking a press and some new in-bounds plays. What was the stat last year - Fred's teams were #1 or #2 in the country coming out of a timeout and scoring? I'm sure they could work some magic of the same sort on in-bounds plays.

Iowa has 10 guys that they rotate. They don't have quality depth. They will play 7, maybe 8 max against us.

As far as Aaron White goes - just poke him or knee him in the eye and he's out of the game....sorry, but the guy just had a really bad run of luck last night...not one, but BOTH eyes hit and yet neither of the Villanova players got ejected...almost like they were accidental eye shots or something... :perr:

Kane won't be scared but Thomas and Morris were ******** their pants towards the end when BYU pressed.

Kanes going to be playing 30+ minutes. Also it's a lot less nerve racking to break a press when your at home versus being in a hostile environment in the last couple minutes.

I don't disagree but Iowa's probably going to be the best trapping team we run into. It's too bad we don't have Bubu for this one.

Hopefully that had to do with it being their first road game

Morris didn't look awesome when UMKC pressed either, if I remember correctly. Not as bad as @BYU, but UMKC. Assume they worked at it and have confidence he has the talent to progress quickly.

He went for 11-7-7 and no turnovers against UMKC. He must not have struggled too bad....

More Bubu infatuation, you'd think he was Chris Paul.

Not sure how you got that from my comments but having one more mature/experienced ball handler, who shoots FT's at a pretty high clip, is not the worst thing to have when you're playing a team that presses.

We turned the ball over 18 times last year.

Would it be better to have Bubu to call on if needed, or an empty scholarship? Seems pretty obvious.

Bubu wouldn't be my first choice on this team to try and break the press over Kane. How many times did he just fall down last year against Kansas. I counted 3 but it may be more or less.

There is no way we can compete against Woodbury. He is a beast. I think he's averaging over 4 points a game with just about that many boards.

Ejim almost averaged a double double, but Woodbury has him beat with his double 4.
