Are you kidding? I wouldn't say he's better or worse right now, but I'm pretty sure you've never seen him play if this is your oponion.
I wouldn't say Greene is better than Bass or Robinson. Nobody knows this for sure. Frankly Greene really hasn't touched the ball all that much while Robinson carried the load the last part of this year and really lead the way to ISU's two Big 12 wins. Greene has never carried the load at all and has been a career backup.
He rushed the ball only 32 times in 2006 and had zero receptions. Robinson did that in one game. There is absolutely zero proof that Greene would be better than Robinson. However, it's probably a moot point because he might not even make it back to Iowa.
However, when I look at the teams here is how I feel about them:
QB ISU: Arnaud vs Christensen: Edge: Push
We don't know what Arnaud is going to do, or even if he'll be the starter. Jake has started a full season and I think he'll be better next year.
RB ISU: ARob/Bass vs ?? Edge: Big ISU
No returning experience for Iowa
FB ISU: Ekwelundu vs Williams Edge: ???
I don't even really care here, we don't use a FB much.
WR: ISU: Sumrall, Hamilton vs.Johnson/Cleveland Edge: Push
The experience thing really doesn't shift it much to ISU. All their young guys got good experience and based on the number of JUCO WR's Chiz recruited I don't think he values our experience that much.
TE: ISU: Catlett vs. Myers Edge: Big Iowa
Moeaki and Myers are great TE's, and Catlett was an H-Back last year. We have no idea what to expect from him at the position.
OL: most back for both: Edge: ISU
Iowa's offensive line let Christenson get put on his back like Meyer in 06. Agree here.
DL: ISU: I sr gone, 2 for Iowa Edge: Iowa
Ballard and Clayborn won't be much of a dropoff for Iowa's defensive line that was very solid last year.
LB: ISU both lose 2, Edge: Iowa
Iowa returns AJ Edds who is a very solid player. I do not feel like this is a position of strength at all for ISU.
CB:ISU Bell/Singleton vs. Fletcher Edge: ISU
Bell and Singleton return with a year in the system and Iowa really only returns Fletcher and Bernsteine who didn't see a lot of time.
S: ISU Smith vs Dahlton/Greenwood Edge: Push
I like both team's young players.
Punters: ISU
Iowa's punter was terrible last year
FG: Edge: Iowa
Iowa's guys have the experience but Guyer could be very solid.
