Iowa State Transfer/Recruiting Class 2023

If this is correct, I would love this. Curtis Jones is an absolute flame thrower. 37% for the volume of shots he takes from 3 is great. Can create his own shot. All 3 of these guys improve our offense so much vs the last couple seasons

Any word on this fellow, Curtis?

I was kind of thinking maybe we need another pwr fwd or center, yet they (the good ones) do not grow on trees. What we do need is another lengthy wing/guard player, who can shoot and get his own shot. Yes, C. Jones would be very nice. Is he leaning ISU?

Apparently not in TJ’ system

Fish is nowhere near Melvin Ejim. Let’s not get crazy

It has been heavily implied that he is the third guy (at the very least, he seems to be the one the staff is zeroed in on for that last spot).

There was a rumor upthread that he was visiting this week and likely to commit, but nothing official that I've seen. It does seem like a great fit - and he's a Twin Cities guy who would be very familiar with the coaching staff.

Curtis Jones. He’ll be on a visit this week and he’ll be committed to us by this time next week

Thx for the info. I guess we will all patiently wait. Or try to. :)

Lipsey is currently the best talent on the team.
On campus right now? Probably?

Next year? I'm not sold yet.

Love his game and I expect a lot of good from Tamin, but the monkey on his back of shooting isn't a small one. I have no doubt he'll be improved there, and he's gonna play a lot.

More talented than Omaha or Milan? Feels like a stretch and that's not including any transfers either.

Uconns starting center was 6'9.

I know they had the 7' ft off the bench but he only averaged 13 mins a game
Both played the post position and were dominant. The freshman will play 30 mpg next year and be one of the best players in the country. Having a true post player, regardless of height, who can defend, rebound, pass, and score is still a huge factor in success.

That doesn't mean one needs to be recruited. Maybe what's on the roster will suffice.

He is an excellent talent, and I wouldn't trade him for another point guard given his upside and the fact that we almost certainly have him for a least a couple more years, but some of the incoming guys are almost certainly better overall talents than him right now.
