Iowa State Transfer/Recruiting Class 2023

I picture this man in a Yankees hat and Lakers jersey.

You aren't far off...can't remember the hat he was wearing but he was wearing a Paul Pierce KU jersey. Guys who sat behind me joked when they sat down, "oh these must be good seats, we're sitting by Paul Pierce."

I actually don't remember the last time I saw them but I remember exactly who you are talking about and know they were regulars at one point. I did not remember seeing them in the arena this year though.
These guys were not at the B12 tourney this year. They we getting old so hope all is well. We talked with a few of them one year—nice guys & friends who just really like basketball.

I noticed that also when I was at the conference tournament was looking for them with the white caps I’m guessing they were getting up there in age

Did he look like this?

Dude, I was having a hard day at work and took a break and checked a few threads. This was the laugh I needed! Thank you!

That is the universal KU arrogance. They deserve to win the conference every year.

I don't know if that itself is arrogance.

Every year for how many now they've lost really great players, and they've reloaded to win the conference or come very close.

Odds are pretty good that the 'KU just doesn't seem to have it this year' posts start rolling in by December this year only to have them finish with 3 conference losses and another title.

I saw a report that Iowa State has reached out to Rienk Mast from Bradley. Kentucky, U of Florida, Wisconsin and a report that Fred Hoiberg was in Peoria last weekend to see him.

Oh, I agree, but they don't have that returning guy who knows the system and is ready to emerge as the next star. I think that's important. Not saying they won't compete for the top of the league, but I don't think they'll be as strong as the last two years.
I agree with you. Doesn't matter who KU brings in via portal they won't be as good as Wilson. They will kill it, but you're not going to get another Jalen Wilson. KU could be a toss up next year, but I've thought that before and been proven wrong. Guess we'll see.
