***Iowa State @ Texas Tech Game Thread***

Good to see that the idea of "supporting this team" and the players that have choosen to stay lasted at least 45 minutes.

I've always thought that if a team was giving all it had, regardless of talent, it was bush-league to rip on them...but if a team, regardless of talent doesn't play their hardest it's fair game.

This is a joke right now out on the court...Garrett and Brackins need to grow a pair and quit playing like freshmen...the sad thing is that so far this season, our team has played like this more than they have played with heart and passion-which I think disgraces the University.

Not to be overly dramatic, but this is a season defining 2nd half. I hope our guys play like it. We've allowed an 0-3 team playing in front of an embarrassingly small crowd to take a 10 point lead into the half. They will come out pumped and confident.

We are better than this team too, thats why its so frustrating. Can somebody guard roberson please!

Iowa will lose the game by 7, but played with so much heart. They would beat ISU tonight. Maybe easily too.

Well, as a school, we've only ever been successful when we've overachieved and played great as a team and that's really the only way we're going to get better. Unfortunately, Iowa has absolutely no talent but plays better than us most nights for the simple reason that they play together and with desire.
Coaching?

Don't they say that's why divorce is so expensive...cause it's so worth it.

Haha! Ok, I probably said that too early. I will withhold calling for McDermott's head until the end of the season as it won't do any good.

Come on guys, you've dug a big hole, but you can climb out of it.

what a nightmare. we wait and wait for things to change with this team, but they never do. Poor rebounding, poor FT shooting, poor effort, poor decision making, poor coaching.

i haven't read the thread as I am just logging on now, so I apologize if this was covered, but did anyone notice when we took the lead by 2 after going on a mini-run, Pat Knight quickly called a time-out which completely stemmed our momentum. On the flip side, Tech goes on a mini-run to take the lead by 4, but instead of calling a TO to stem their momentum, McD lets them play and the lead promptly goes to 10! THAT is poor coaching. We can feel sorry for McD all we want, but there is some poor coaching going on with the ISU men's basketball team.

Our guys play with no discipline on D, they're all ball watchers and go for the big steal or block and lose their guys... Thats how guys get so open for 3.
We must be taught to let them shoot from the perimeter. What else can explain not movng two feet?

NO excuse whatsoever for being outrebounded by 10 in a half to a team like this...that lies completely on the fundamentals of the game, and HUSTLE...which our guys have proven over and over again this season, they aren't a big fan of.

Are the instant replays bugging anybody besides me?

Why can't they do this for every game. Usually, I'm like, "Hey, why is everybody moving so slow? And didn't I just see that same play a second ago...but faster?" So confusing. But tonight, I know that I'm about to watch an INSTANT REPLAY everytime and if I forget during the replay, they remind me I just watched an INSTANT REPLAY when it's over. Thanks Texas Tech Television Network!

Man...what an ugly game on many levels.

Notice all the Texas Tech ads??? Probably not I'm guessing. Hmmmm Espn 360 has the same feed. Damn WOI... You do suck..:jimlad:

Some people don't have a clue.....

KCRG 9.2 broadcast is pretty decent. I'm thinking its WOI and the streaming.

Cyclone Alley Rocks compared to RedRaider whatever, Hilton is a great place to watch a game, the Cyclones can and need to win this game. The lack of apparent support at Tech is astonishing, lets win this game!
