Iowa State - NCAA Violations

We won't get in trouble.

My issue is, if we are going to cheat we gotta be All In on it. Go big or go home baby. None of this little stuff. If we are cheating I want 11-1 type records not this 6-6 stuff.

It wasnt just football though... Womens tennis has had quite a resurgance during that time frame...

I'm not saying, but I'm just saying.
 
This is probably slightly more serious since it became news but I have been told in the past that if you are not self reporting a certain amount of violations to the NCAA that they will be all over you thinkng you are hiding something, because it is considered nearly impossible not to have minor violations at the schools.

Actually, the Board of Directors approved the rule change but it was recently overridden by 75 votes from D1 membership. Now it will be reviewed again by the Board of Directors at their May 2 meeting.

Where the big money programs will see these changes pushed through in some form.

I could swear that the initial version of this article included the following sentence (that is included with the Yahoo sports article, but not in the current version on the DM Register site). It seems worth mentioning!


Iowa State said its review was believed to be the broadest ever done by an NCAA member institution, involving 750,000 total calls made by coaches in all 18 sports and 2,500 individual monthly telephone bills.

I admit I don't know much about recruiting but the fact that nearly a thousand calls per day are being made is shocking to me.
 
Self-Sanctions? Did we offer to sacrifice the baseball team again?

The Baseball program is serving the 2 years of probation.

If I am Pollard I also impose a post season ban on the Baseball Program... You know... to show we mean business.

So if it was reported in 2011 the two year self imposed probation would be nearly done anyway?
