I find it weird that they put off investigating this because it would have cost $300K.

Especially when you consider that the investigation would almost certainly be turned over to the DCI

On the news last night the Sheriff said their annual budget is $1.8 mil so I get that $300K is a large % but like you said I am sure they would have gotten state or even Fed help if it involved women from across state lines.

It just seems like a weird excuse.

Its crazy that they are not digging away. If they don't believe her. Dig the hole, if you hit bones, slow down and dig. I don't understand the whole taking time. If he really did kill people. Families would want to know if they have a loved one burried in that well.

I guess I'm not sure why they can't go and dig for one body that she is sure of being there and then move from there. Or maybe they have and haven't shared. Sorry you basically said this 45 mins before I did haha.

Wasn't Skidmore the town where a local thief/whacko kept stealing things but was never arrested? The townspeople finally had enough and they shot him In Broad Daylight the name of the book and movie. The dead guy was shot with bullets and slugs, but no one saw a thing. They took the law in their own hands to deal with the thief.

they could have probably just ran the ground radar thing that looks for ground disturbances. if the jabronies from oak island can afford to do it, then I assume the police can afford it.
