IMO, Jordan Harris is going to be good. I don't see any Iowa LB being that good.
I agree Harris will be good...i think Bower and Nieman can be good, probably next year though

Ott will play this coming year without the stud DT's that were next to him last year. Probably not be as easy as it was last year.
One thought on the Clones...the Juco DT looks like the real deal (forgot the name) if he can stay healthy he's a difference maker. Looks explosive / with a high motor. A little short but in the college game he'll do just fine, might cause some of the bigger interior O-linemen some problems.
Yeah, he looks to be pretty decent, but he'll need some help, otherwise teams will just double him. I like Trent Tucker too though on the outside.
Not sold at all on Jordan Harris.... yet. He wasn't good enough to play last year, so who knows what we'll see this year? He didn't do a whole lot in the spring game IMO.
Both teams' LB's will be pretty bad IMO. And both teams' offenses will be pretty bad too IMO. It could be an all time ugly game when Iowa and ISU face off this year. There won't be a whole lot of good football going on.
I don't expect much of a drop off from Jaleel. We'll see how Bazata can perform and there isn't near as much depth that's for sure.
I think Jaleel will be solid but no drop off? Don't agree there. Carl Davis was a double team every play. Jaleel won't be that..this year any way. And I agree that Ott, while a stud, benefited from having big Carl next to him soaking up 2 Olineman every play. Not just drinking Koolaid here but ISU defense will be vastly improved from last years disaster. Last year we had 250lb true freshman playing at DT at times. This year he's not even 3rd string...big difference. 3-4 new jucos will be starting on D this year and that is a very good sign IMO. LB, outside of Harris, will be a ? Mark no doubt. Secondary, like Iowa, will be the strength of the defense.
Tevaun is a stud and I think he will have a great year. I'm not convinced Canzeri is the answer at RB and can last the year in the BIG will be necessary for someone else to step up at RB at Iowa this year. Same goes for ISU..Warren and Brown appear talented and are bigger than what we've had In the past...yet completely unproven.
Iowa should win 6 games with that schedule...if they don't it could be Kf last year. I'd say ISU should beat Iowa this year as I think Iowa will struggle early on offense(as usual) but it's the cy hawk game and just throw out everything cause really bad ISU teams have beaten decent Iowa teams.
Great insight from a fan base that knows nothing...
Enter any bowling tournaments lately?Great insight from a fan base that knows nothing...
No.....you don't understand. They won 7 games last year.......and even though they lost a 1st round draft pick from their OL and they lost a couple NFL prospects at DT last year. Plus a career record WR. Along with other player losses. They are going to be better.
CJ is better than Brett Favre. Even though his stats are worse than Rudock's. Because he can scramble and there is no fear of him even getting hurt behind that weak O-Line. Iowa can beat every team on their schedule. I heard it straight from Section110. They are great.
All the posts and exhaustive blowhardishness about how JR was the better QB and should start for Iowa ahead of CJB... ah, the memories.
They will have a difficult time getting to 6 wins without a win over Iowa State.
This thread ended up being unintentionally hilarious.
You still live in Muscatine, bro.
