Went to some BBQ joint there last time I was there visiting our son. Jimmy Jack’s Rib Shack. Don’t recommend it.

I ate there today for lunch because it had good reviews. It was a below average BBQ sandwich with two small sides and a drink for $22. Wish I saw your post first

I'd say you'll actually find the nicest most level headed Hawk fans in Iowa City because chances are they actually have a degree from Iowa. It's small town Iowa you gotta watch out for.

Drink lots of Jagermeister.

Stumble around.

Get the Vulcan Mind Probe shot there. It’s ouzo and 151. After getting one of those after drinks, you’ll wonder why the steps up to their restrooms are swaying back and forth.

Lived in Iowa City for 6 years. I can tell you right now that you need to eat at Oasis (https://oasisfalafel.com/). It's so good. I'm not sure two of my kids would have survived without their hummus. It was basically all they ate.
