Iowa board response when Purdue fan asked about cyclones

In their minds, iSu has never, ever beat iowa. EVER. iowa simply loses to iSu by not playing well, not finishing, not caring, etc, etc.

iowa never loses or gets beat. Even when they do

Weird, I watched Iowa lose to ISU this year. Part of losing is not playing well, or not finishing the games, but they still lost. However, on the other side of the coin, I've never seen ISU lose where the refs or McKay weren't to blame :spinny:

Their board is crazy right now. There is almost no discussion about Temple. Its all about Iowa State, complaining about the Big 10 seeds, complaining about the Big 12 seeds and a little about there chances to beat Villanova. There is more discussion about Iowa State vs. Purdue than there is about Iowa vs. Temple. I don't think their fans even care if they win anymore. They just want Iowa State to either get upset by Iona, or lose to a Big 10 team Purdue so they have something to talk about for the next 12 months.

We're talking about Iowa fans right? This should be expected. Iowa fans hate Iowa State more than they actually love the hawks. That is the biggest difference between the fan bases. Iowa fans spend 99% of their time and energy hating on Iowa State and 1% actually cheering for the hawks. Iowa State fans spend 99% of their time and energy cheering for the Clones and about 1% hating on Iowa.

When Iowa lost to Illinois in the Big Ten tourney I got a good 5 second chuckle in and that was it. After the 5 second chuckle I went back to not caring about Iowa.

Hey, don't turn this around on us now

A very common theme I've seen with Hawk (and Husker) fans is that only the teams they beat are good. Anyone who beats them sucks and got lucky. It's odd but proves itself to be true time and time again.

I'm convinced there are a lot of Hawk fans who, given the choice, would rather see both teams lose rather than both teams win just for the schadenfreude.

We're quitters? Rrright..we just tucked tail and quit against Iowa in the 2nd half didn't we...troll?

I can't even lurk over there because of that guy. It's like he's talking to himself

Thousands of posts saying the same thing under multiple usernames, almost has to be a relative of someone running the site.

So a transfer who leaves after being a teams leading scorer is a "quitter", then what is a transfer who leaves after never seeing the floor and misses his gf?

I think you would call that one of the best Iowa Hawkeye basketball players to put on a uniform in the last 30 years or so.

And it's not looking like anyone in the near future is going to come close to being as good as said badger reject/quitter.

The way the Hawks are looking he could hold on to that distinction for the NEXT 30 Years.
