Iowa MBB just beat two of the WORST teams in D1 basketball. Yet the media pumping this Iowa team up. team that has lost 40+ games the previous two years

The two opponents Iowa just beat make Drake look like Duke

That guy has been around for a long time, and he's no troll. And I don't say that because he posts wild takes that make ISU fans look bad. He's just a pretty good poster.

Iowa didn't look too hot today, but CU is a really good team. Didn't think Iowa would lose by that many or play that bad. Lets see how they come back from that *** whoopin.

It was ugly, Iowa couldn't have hit water if they fell out of a boat and it seemed like Creighton shot 100% but I guess it was only 55%. :wideeyed:

Honestly Iowa didn't really play that bad, they only had 8 turnovers, they just couldn't make any shots. It wasn't the Creighton D either as Iowa had open looks and missed layups. The difference was Iowa made 21 of 58 shots, Creighton made 32 of 58. Creighton made 2 more three's and 9 more two's for a difference of 24 points in a 23 point loss.

Iowa won't shoot that bad all year and Creighton won't shoot that good either, it was just a bad combination yesterday that Iowa was cold and Creighton was hot.

Creighton is good and will win the Valley with breathing room this year, they do have a perfect combination of an inside/outside game this year.
 
8 turnovers and still ran out of the gym.
That is indeed strange.

I loved KGAN-tV (CR) tonight---Anchor Jared Aarons and Hawkeye nation were SHOCKED over the point spread of this loss

Shocked? It was fricking WORSE than the score indicated. good god

In all fairness to Mel, he wasn't talking about Creighton there. He was talking about Iowa's previous opponents (Chicago St, NC A&T, and N. Illinois). And you know what, he is probably right.

And as you already know, Iowa has the most fairweather basketball fans in major college basketball. They are already to give up on the season because of one bad game, and seem to think Basabe is going to transfer for some reason. They are a bunch of idiots and (hopefully) do not represent a majority of the fan base.

Again, Creighton shot 55% while Iowa shot 30% with both teams taking the same number of attempts, if Iowa shoots 55% and ISU shoots 30% at Hilton in a couple of weeks on the same number of attempts then Iowa will win by over 15. Is it that hard to understand? Would Drake beat ISU 8 out of 10 times this year? Of course not, teams have off nights while it seems the other can't miss.

Yes Creighton is probably better than Iowa, but they wouldn't beat Iowa 8 out of 10 times.

Hate to be the bearer of bad news but you didn't shoot much different yesterday than you did all year last year against good teams. 33% at 3 point range is better than you guys shot last year and you shot under 40% a lot in Big 10 play.

I don't expect Iowa to lose like that often but I think their fans are starting to remember that this team has Matt Gatens, sometimes Basabe, and nobody else

So because they shot like that last year means it is a norm and they will shoot the same this year?

A true freshman has led Iowa in scoring 3 of the first 4 games so they weren't around last year to contribute to those numbers. I think this team will get better and will show they will improve on last years numbers.

Neutral site- 9-1 Creighton
In Omaha- 10-0 Creighton

I'm surprised to see that they only shot 55%. It seemed like they never missed.

Basically, I think we can say that both teams can play better. Creighton probably played about a normal game for them. Obviously, a bad game for Iowa. I'd say that the total domination was an outlier, but Creighton would win 8 out of 10 right now.
