Iowa -7 vs ISU

This thread has taken a horrible turn. Throwing out wild accusations to fit an agenda here and labeling a coach racist is absurd.

I never labeled KF anything. I asked a question why somebody wouldn't have to miss any playing time while another player had to for doing the same crime. Some of you guys are putting words in my mouth and being overly sensitive because I asked a simple question

You're the one who threw out the race card trying to stir the pot, not me. They both had 1 game suspensions, no?

Wirfs suspension hasn't been announced yet but the assumption was one game. Snyder didn't have to miss any playing time for his which is why I questioned it

Ive had several non troll interactions with ISU fans on this board today.

And this:

....and the lies just keep on coming. By saying "non troll interactions" are you talking about putting quotes on your posts and not saying a word or are you saying that your "non troll interactions", admit that you are a troll, even though you created a thread about you are done trolling? Now you are trolling about having "non troll interactions" with ISU. You just don't know when to shut up.

Toss up between Buddy and Twins today for worst post.

He tore his ACL in November last year so yes he was out the bowl game due to injury. @YeahBuddy and @Gonzo both have said he should have been suspended for the opener many times but Kirk said he wouldn't be suspended for it

Is what they did (punishment) for both, in line with the student athlete code of conduct?

It may be a bit before you get an answer it. @CyTwins is probably at home thumbing through the hard copy of the University of Iowa Student Athlete Code of Conduct he has printed off for just these types of situations.

I'm not sure what conduct Iowa even has. Look at Peter Jok for example, got an OWI and then got arrested again that same off season and never had to miss a game

So you're pointing out the fact that your questioning of race and punishment for student athlete offenses is moot and not valid.

Thanks for the clarification.

Huh? I am saying it's fair to question why a Caucasian football player can drive over double the legal limit and not have to miss playing time but an African American football player is going to have to miss playing time for doing the same crime

Can't believe I'm actually defending UoI for your bs.

Peter Jok, an African American basketball player, did not have to miss any time for an OWI or another arrest.

The punishments, are in line with the UoI Student Athlete code of conduct. I do not know about BIG/NCAA rules. I do think there should be more clarification on punishments for different situations, like, the comparison you are making. It basically says the punishment is up to the staff and AD. So there may be other things contributing to the punishment that might not be public knowledge.

The Director of Athletics shall determine the appropriate sanction after consulting with the student-athlete's Head Coach and assigned Sport Administrator. I'm not questioning the U of Iowa or Fran. I'm questioning Kirk Ferentz

Do you think the crimes were exactly the same?

Snyder was a 4th year junior over the legal drinking age and was nabbed for OWI in a car he was driving by himself in the middle of the winter while he was out with an injury. He did not get to go to NYC for the bowl game, was banned from the football facility for about a month, had to complete 60 hours of community service, was removed from the teams leadership group and had contingencies placed on his return that it sounds like will lead to him being dismissed from the team.

Wirfs is under the legal drinking age and was cited for OWI while hauling 2 passengers on some type of motorcycle a week before fall camp is scheduled to begin where he is slated to be the starting RT. He will most likely receive a 1 game suspension along with other in house punishment.

I'm not questioning the U of Iowa or Fran. I'm questioning Kirk Ferentz

All we know is the crime committed, we don't know any other internal details that may have led to the punishment. Did one player not self-report? Did one not follow the process and was subject to additional punishment? Did one have a poor attitude? We will probably never know those details.

Also, why did you bring up Peter Jok, if you weren't questioning Fran?
