I get your point, but not every player has to be as good as Lima to be considered "quality depth."

But if there is good/great/quality depth losing one guy shouldnt turn that position into a "who knows at that point".

Big Ten won 7 with 14 total teams.
Big 12 won 5 with 10 total teams. (Plus got a team into the playoff).
That's the same percentage.
