Intro Music Spoiler

I was at the 2006 Husker game and I felt their intro (and pretty much anybody's for that matter) puts ours to shame. The Chicago Bulls song was pretty electrifying and Memorial Stadium seemed to be mesmerized by it. I like the change.
 
I am going to be really disappointed if it is the "bulls" intro. Nebr uses it and they think its their god given song. I'd rather us keep jock jams than have the same as nebr. I hope this is wrong.
 
Who cares what NE does. Because they have red uni's should we not have them. Because they have white helmuts should we not have them. Do what gets ISU pumped, who cares about anyone else.

Yeah, but thousands upon thousands of other songs and we end up with one that has been used many times before and by someone in our own division? I just expected some originality. You try living in husker land like I do and you'd realize you would want to distance yourself as much as possible. Hopefully they package it differently so it won't be exactly the same.
 
I dont see why we didnt make Thunderstruck our song. Last year we were told it would be our new intro music. I got xcyted that first game to hear it, and when it came time, i heard 95% jock jams follwed by 5 seconds of AC/DC. The timing was always off and the band ended up playing over most of it. Not the bands fault, 3-4 songs is hard to time to the entrance.

ps I CANT F'IN WAIT TO SEE THE BAND DO "CIRCLES" when they come onto the field. Ive never been a band nerd, but i just think theyre cool.
 
The huskers do use that song and every idiotic husker fan in NE knows it. I hope it isn't still used next year when they come to Ames, or they'll just keeping being the arrogant fans they are and think it is for them. Surely somebody had thought this through before using the same song as the most self-righteous team in all of college football.
 
It will be hard to duplicate the lights and pyrotechnics the Bulls use... Thats what make's their intro so cool, the song is just average.

nothing really special about the intro I guess, the tunnel walk is pretty cool, but if I was a Knebraska player I would be worried that Lawrence Phillips was going to drive a car into me. :no:
 
Gotta say, the old bulls intro is the best in sports...

Rumor has it that kNU will be introducing a new intro this year. Many fans dislike the idea. Heard part of it on the radio today - not bad - but Alan Parsons is the best.

The new intro is played by Mikey Bow. Find out this weekend. It would be great if kNU dropped it and ISU picked it up - fans here would be pissed.

Their AD has never been liked, this would add another nail in the coffin.

I still think Pulse of the Maggots is far and away better than the Bulls intro. Original, perfect intro lyrics and supporting a home grown band.

Hey, what radio station did you hear that on? That would be interesting if nebr did change and we picked it up.
My in laws would be PO'd. I haven't heard that rumor....

Update: link from nebr boards, looks like nu is changing.

If this is true, it's lame. That's the best they could come up with. :confused:

We might as well come out to We Will Rock You by Queen. I'd much rather keep the old music if I had to choose between that and Sirius. It used to get me pumped up and was at least identifiable to us. Heck even Right Now by Van Halen that they use to play at basketball games would be better than that.
