Tonight at band they announced the new intro music. From Mr Smith's singing (which isn't great) its the Chicago Bulls intro with a possible that Hell's Bells is on the end of it... Also they still plan on using the old music, just later, maybe right before the game starts???

I like Hell's Bells, kind of ties into the whole Campanile theme with the sounds of the clock tower. Not sure I like the Chicago Bulls intro. If it's true that Nebraska uses it, that makes it even worse...

I don't know about these two. They both have a good beginning but never a point when they can run out and the crowd go crazy.

I could be mistaken, but don't the Huskers already come out to that music at home games? I'm fairly certain I remember being corrected by a husker fan when I said..."Hey, that's the Bulls song!" and he says, "No, it's the Huskers song." I've never been to Lincoln, so I can't confirm that.

That could be the funniest thing I've ever heard. :biglaugh: Nothing else exists outside of Lincoln, does it?

Does anyone know who first used it as an intro? A ton of teams have.

This is a good song but it has to be done right, you can't just play it. We'll see what happens tomorrow night!!!

P.S. Not too happy though if Knebraska uses it...

yes, Kansas used Hells Bells when I was there for the tourture 2 years ago, I dont like the music choice, but if we could use some of the Bulls special effects, that might make it better. I'd rather have the Baby Bash song "Cyclone" over Allan Parson's, why dont we call it operation Wang Chung!

The old Bulls intro was great, anyone else using it seems lame. I'll take AC/DC's Thunder, KSU's intro music over that anyday.

the more I think about it, the more I think that it is hard to be original with your intro. You have to find a way to use a song, that undoubtedly someone else has used before and do your own thing with it. I hope we get a little taste of it on Clone Zone tomorrow to see just how they are going to work it out. It has potential, but they need something to make it unique to us.
