Insurance Refunds?

Ask your companies to change you driver classification on your cars to pleasure use instead of work/school.it will save you a little money but not much.

I am an independent Agent in Ankeny. Of our 15 mist used companies 13 are giving credits for April and May premiums. They vary but most are 15% to 20%.

Farm Bureau paying back the big $. What should I do with my $23?

Sure seemed like a bigger deal on their commercials promoting how great they were, huh? Haven't seen ours from State Farm, but I expect the same.

Did you get an actual refund, or a reduction on a bill due? I've been waiting for them to pony up, but have received no official correspondence about it. My last semi-annual premium bill did seem a tad lower than usual, though.

Heck, a measly 23 bucks is only about half the annual membership fee...

They credited my credit card this week.

That reminds me, I need to pay the membership this week. Welp, guess that solves the mystery of where the refund is going.

Agree. Just got our State Farm car and pick-up insurance bills and it was a 10.6% reduction. Better than nothing I guess.

Just received a second round of rebate from American Family. First time was $50 for each car. This second one was a $26 check. I think it was some percentage of bill.

I really want to postpone my 16 year olds insurance. He has not driven since March, and I am paying $100 a month for his insurance.

I have an off-brand, no name independent insurance (auto-owners insurance) and I already received one refund check.

Well, whaddya know - I just got a credit card reimbursement from a recent premium payment as well. (Seems like an inefficient way to handle this.) Had an email from them sitting in a spam folder.

Refund was about 2% back from annual premiums (policies on 3 vehicles and our home through them). Wheee!

Auto-owners is a really good company. I used them for a number of years but switched due to cost.

Currently with progressive, have received a 20% discount for the last 2 months.

anyone getting some money

but i won't hold my breathe for iowa farm bureau to refund.

I got either a letter or email a couple of months ago that said 15%. But haven't seen it on my premiums.

In August I get my new policy so they will probably say they planned to raise it 15% but won't and that's my refund.
