Insurance Refunds?

I already have a low mileage discount. After I retired and stopped daily commuting my mileage dropped over 50%. Going to be even lower this year for sure. Other than one hoops game earlier this year I haven't left town in 2020 via automobile. Longest drive since CV-19 is to the Minnesota Valley National Wildlife Refuge, that was like a 32 mile roundtrip. Das Audi is sitting in the garage with snow tires still on it. Been driving my old Boxster since it's spring, or so the calendar says.

Supposed to get a 20% premium refund but am yet to see it. (AAA)

I have Nationwide. Premiums are about $120/month for full coverage on 2 sedans. They returned $50 at the end of April. Not sure if it was a 1-time thing or not.

My wife's car has 120 miles on it since she came home from work 8 weeks ago. It'd have less if we weren't going to doctor's appointments since she is pregnant.

For State Farm policy holders, here is part of a "story" on their website:

Customers do not need to take any action to receive this dividend, which will appear as a credit on their auto policy.

I pay semi-annually and need to wait to July-August.

Nada, they did raise the price though.... So that's kinda the same. It's time for me to shop around.

My insurance sent me one as a credit posted to my credit card.

Its a credit card I have only for automated payments, which I had already paid for this month. I'm currently, and for the only time I can remember, carrying a NEGATIVE credit card balance. :D

Got a nice rebate from Allstate. And FB does have a rebate coming, remember you heard it from Remo first.

Esurance on an old pickup, I got $11 back. Blew it all on coke and hookers. Pretty lame party.

Other car already has limited mileage and the policy is expensive. Didn't hear a peep from them.

I took my $21 "Shelter-in-Place Payback" from Allstate and bought 2 racks of ribs to put on the grill. Thank you, COVID.

The joke is on them, Iowa isn't sheltering.
