Inside Iowa State Basketball

I love his schpeel about everything Orr did, and everything he hasn't even come close to doing.
 
I think ISU has a great advantage to recruiting players right now...you will play and you will play against some of the best in the country. Oh, and because we are in the Big 12, you will get noticed.

Kudos to ISU for the video, I hope things turn around.

+1 to everything here.

We definitely need to be playing up the playing time aspect here. It's going to have a real mercenary approach by some of the guys that it would bring, but that's about the only way it's going to work out for Mac right now.

Looking at our roster, though, I still like the guys we have. If we are somehow able to get a couple of quality additions, we can at least be an athletic defensive team, which might get the young guys some easy baskets. Otherwise, we may be offensively challenged,
 
I was actually excited about the lineup of Colvin, DG, Phillips, Dendy, and JVB. I wasn't exicted about Greg trying to coach them, but from a talent standpoint, it would have been interesting.

If Dendy is declared ineligible, it will cement a less than 10 win season for us.

I agree... I think we are going to be able to put a good team of five on the court that should be able to compete. It is our nonexistent bench that I am worried about. Regarding the coaching vacancies... bring in Nurse,his assistant Bjorklund and the problem is solved.

Depth is such a problem. Ejim and Railey will be good in time, I think, but I don't want to get carried away thinking that two freshmen carry us to the tournament or anything. Our depth will make things very difficult, and we'll likely see teams push the tempo until we just can't compete anymore due to fatigue or fouls. Kind of like 3 of the last 4 years.
