The last time they beat the Hawks in Ames which was back in 2011 (now 8 full years ago) the fans sure did rush the field. Like a damn Super Bowl victory! Posters and framed photos were made of it.

Yeah, they rushed the field - after a 3 OT win, the first overtime game in the history of the series. Not all victories are created equally.

The defense will show for both teams, making the game feel like a grind. I'm talking a game where 7 pts seems insurmountable. The fist team to blink (make a mistake on offense) will win.

ISU 12 — Iowa 10

Honestly, I think this is the right answer. Both d-lines will keep the offenses in check. For serious fans it will be tense. For casual fans, it will be El Assico - boring.

First QB to fumble or throw a bad pass will lose... or first special teams error - missed FG, dropped punt, etc. It's a toss up.
