Didn't see a prediction thread yet. Give your initial prediction now and a revised one after Iowa has a chance to look crappy against Rutgers and ISU fans have a chance to sober up and realize they aren't as bad as they looked Saturday. Thinking it will be a pretty good game as the last two have been. Would be surprised with a double digit win either way.

9/3 Prediction - ISU 28, Iowa 24

9/9 Prediction - ?

This is going to be 31-21 Iowa. But if the offense wouldn’t score on ourselves it would be a lot closer.

Honestly, the difference between the week 1 games was that Iowa avoided costly mistakes and we didn't. Miami certainly had opportunities in that game but they couldn't get out of their own way. UNI did what they normally do and played sound fundamental football and didn't beat themselves.

Iowa and Iowa State's week 1 results haven't changed my thoughts on either team. I think Iowa State wins 24-20.

Iowa did make mistakes though. They fumbled the ball when the FB tried to foolishly tried to lateral the ball instead of just eating it. That led to a huge turn of events in the game.

UNI's mobile quarterback was the only reason they were able to move the ball. Although Iowa is a different animal, Iowa State won't have to worry about Stanley getting out of the pocket and improvising. As long as Iowa State can contain Iowa's running game, which I believe they can, Iowa State should be able to minimize Stanley's impact and win the game.

Iowa State 20, Iowa 17.
