I have some connections in Pella who say Clayberg is pretty firm about wanting to play QB at the next level. That's part of the reason why some bigger schools haven't been interested. They don't project him as a QB.

What are our chances with him? I see he has a Nebraska offer as well.

I really think that we need to start getting more of these Iowa kids. They are in our back yards, and if we are talking about OL, DL, LB or TE it seems like Iowa turns them out every year, these Iowa kids. I don't want to be getting Iowa kids at RB, WR or DB's (unless it is a Lazard), but Rhoads passing on so many of them hurt us IMO.

I think he said Iowa is his dream school so probably not going to Iowa State.

Not if we beat Iowa at Kinnick in the fall. And if we make a bowl game and they don't. Anything can happen between now and next years signing day.

Iowa State certainly could beat Iowa in Kinnick and NSD '17 is indeed a long way off but there's a .0001% chance that Iowa State makes a bowl game and Iowa does not.

True. At least they play Michigan, otherwise their schedule will be even easier than last year. I could easily see them having another great regular season setting them up for another New Year's day pounding.
