Improved cell coverage?

I thought Verizon wasn't bad yesterday. I got a somewhat slow but pretty useable signal in the stands, but it suffered pretty badly when I went to the hillside for awhile. Texts to/from people on the hillside weren't going through.
Verizon was better, but still pretty bad, during the first half. I was able to have notifications come through and last year, that really didn’t happen. When the crowd started thinning out, signal went to basically full-strength.

However, in the grass lots, there was basically zero signal.

Back in the day there weren’t 3:10 tv breaks after every change in possession. I don’t blame people for wanting to check on other games or whatever while waiting.
I just heard the term “second screen tv”.

Funny to see how this fluctuates. Verizon was not great but useable the first game for me and others had a terrible time. Sounds like it was better for others yesterday and my phone was a paper weight.

Edited to add we are in section 28

Verizon was again trash in the lower bowl.

My wife learned a valuable leason yesterday. Make sure you put ALL your tickets in your mobile wallet. Ticket office will let you get on their wifi to download your tickets.

Verizon in the stadium yesterday for me was great. Texts including with pictures went through quickly (incoming and outgoing) and internet to check scores or look something up was just fine too. Probably the best I’ve experience during a game when over 50,000 is at Jack Trice.

It must depend on location inside the stadium or something (we’re top of the lower bowl on the east side). Oh and I also noticed my phone switched to LTE (in the upper status part of the screen) yesterday which I hadn’t noticed before.

Section E seats. Verizon service was awful. Took probably 10 minutes to upload one picture to Instagram. I was sitting next to a guy with AT&T service who was literally watching the game on his phone with no problems at all. Jealous.

I'm all for good service. Just don't know if it's the carriers' responsibility or ISU's? Who should hear our 'input' besides message board geeks like us?

I also sat in Section E, but recently switched to US Cellular from Verizon. Had spotty coverage at my seat, but noticed that service immediately improved the minute I walked down the stairs to the concourse.

I wandered to various parts of the stadium during 2nd half, seems like overall coverage was generally better in the lower bowl.

I also noticed for the SEMO game that the ticket trailer outside the Stark Performance Center has QR codes to allow temporary Wi-Fi access just in case you can’t access your tickets.

Section 7, down lower. Could not even send a text on Verizon. At some point, my phone switched from 5G to LTE to SOS. Insane that we can't get a decent signal.

I had a little issue with coverage at the game last Saturday. I turned airplane mode on and then off and it fixed the issue. Worked for my dad too.

Baylor was the first game I’ve made it to this year. I had no service through Verizon. Couldn’t send a text and nothing would load. Definitely irritating.

Saw a lady a couple rows down watching snapchats though.

First half my reception was fine. After halftime, I had nothing. Not even a hint of a signal

Definitely better Saturday. I was able to look up other scores and text friends ect about the lovely display of reffing we were witnessing.

However still wasn't good enough to stream any type of video.

I was able to send a couple text, but no espn / BR scores would load. Funny US Cellular was the game sponsee but I couldn’t use their service

Verizon here and mine worked fine the few times I tried before/after and throughout the game.

Yes it was slow to load a webpage, but it would load within 20 sec or so every time.

That said, I wasn't on my phone much...was watching the game predominantly.
