If you've ever...

Been overwhelmed with joy by a 1 point victory to an FCS opponent because its a W and thats all that matters...you may just be a Hawkeye.

If you have ever wore a brand new gold Nike polo to "Cy-Hawk" day at work with a SOUTHERN MISS GOLDEN EAGLE logo on it and had no clue it was not the U of I until an ISU fan pointed it out to you...
you might be a Hawkeye

*I can't make this up guys. It seriously happened today at work. He said it was in the Hawkeye rack at the store and thought I was messing with him until he looked it up and compared it online.

I gave too much rep earlier today. This really deserves it.

He was clueless. In his defense I would bet that I was the only one who noticed it all day. The colors are the exact same and the logo is not very different. As a huge sports fan it stuck out like a sore thumb to me. No excuse for that though. None.

The kicker was that when I told him about it 3 other Hawk fans jumped on me arguing it. I just said "look it up online and come talk to me". Nothing more was said from them.

Blew my mind to say the least and I was going to put it as a thread of it's own until I saw it would fit in here.

Funny!

Can't imagine how this happened. All ya gotta do to discern the real EIU logo is to flip it on end (feathers down). If it looks like a profile of Fred Flintstone, you've got the real deal.

If you are already making excuses for this weekends game, you might be a hawkeye
