If you have kids?

agreed on letting your kids be them. like who they want. Im a Cyclone fan however because I WENT to school in Ames. Not because I just picked them. So send them out of state is the moral of the story here.

I agree. Let them only choose to do things that are easy. If they ever think something is too hard, they should just quit. That is exactly how I want to raise my children.

But they should still get their trophy. I'm a HUGE fan of recognizing "participation" since we participated in a few "bowl" games that were televised on ESpN Ocho...

I've been a Brewers fan for 23 years.
36 years and counting for me. My three teen daughters don't really follow baseball, BUT will root on the Brewers (although I never told them who to root for -- except that they will be disinherited if they become Cardinals fans). They also love ISU because that is my alma mater. They have accepted the fact that ISU is NOT good at FB, but still root them on anyway!

Even if a school goes undefeated in regular season in football, the kids only get to enjoy 12 wins. In basketball you can get 25+ wins as an ISU fan almost guaranteed.

Tell the kids to be patient and the winning will come this fall. Just not at football

I am a Cyclone. Loyal. Forever. True. My self worth is not determined by how many games my team wins. I will watch every game and cheer for our student athletes always. When the wins start coming, it will be so sweet. I'm always confused by people who adopt a winning team (i.e. Nebby in the 70's...tavern hoks) so they can feel like winners. Go Cyclones!
