B Hall was on his way of winning this til he got injured. Makes me wonder how they wasn’t a better team when we had Kolar, Allen, Hutchison, Hall and Purdy beings how we had 2 future NFL rookie of the year on the same team. looks like we should of changed OC a lot earlier.

Cincinnati will be asking that question in a few years

He'll be in the conversation, but he won't win it. He hasn't played enough games to get the nod. And some voter may hesitate due to his system, and his supporting cast.

If he had half of a season under his belt, he'd have a much better shot, but only playing 35% of a season is a pretty big hurdle to overcome.

He's clearly the best rookie though as far as performance goes.

I agree with this. Be cool for his name to get mentioned in that way too.

Who votes for these awards? I am assuming writers and stuff but do players get a say in it? I would wonder if players would lean more Purdy than some of the writers and media folks.

Subjective. Is "performance" defined by statistics? Is it wins? A combination? Over a small sample size, yeah he's been impressive. But is Christian Watson's 4 game stretch where he scored 8 touchdowns more impressive? I don't know. But a season is 17 games long, and I just don't think 5 3/4 games is a big enough sample size for the voters to give him a ROY award.

I think the story of going from Mr. Irrelevant to offensive rookie of the year will counteract that to a decent degree. The NFL and the media both love the story.

Is Christian Watson about to win a Super Bowl?

When does next years schedule come out? Jets/Niners would be must see TV.
What an odd matchup! I know the NFL rotates everything, but I do not "remember" a single Jets-49ers game in my lifetime. I know they have played in the past four years at least, it just never rings a bell.

Agreed. To be fair, the jets have played in a lot of non-memorable games.

ROTY aside:

BCB FTW!

After San Francisco's 38-13 win over the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday at Levi's Stadium, the 49ers have the fourth-best odds to win the Super Bowl.

Odds provided by our partner, PointsBet, show the 49ers are +500 to win the Super Bowl, behind the Kansas City Chiefs (+325), Buffalo Bills (+400) and Philadelphia Eagles (+475). That means a $100 bet on the 49ers to win Super Bowl LVII would win $500.

The funniest thing is that I have seen them win a Playoff Game! @ Cincinnati in January 2010. My only NFL Playoff Game was won by the JETS!

I also saw them when I was kid with Joe Namath at QB vs. the Boston Patriots @ Legion Field in 1970.

Finally, I saw them play in the old sombrero @ Tampa Bay in the Bucs creamsickle uniform days.

How is that for an odd ball NY Jets Tri-fecta?
