This is an amazing deal on a Kitchenaid 600 Professional Series stand mixer.

I picked one up today for my girlfriend. They retail for $499 and I got one for $207 with a $74 mail in rebate so it'll actually cost me $133. She will be excited to get it. Just thought I'd share with other fanatics. The first post lays out some steps to get the deal but I can answer any questions you have too.

Kitchenaid Professional 600 Mixer, $109 at Kohls with PM and AR. Possibly $86 - Slickdeals.net

Ps. I got mine in Des Moines.

We have one of these as well as some pasta attachments. I'm pretty sure it will last forever.

If any of you are looking for any last-minute gift ideas for me, I have one. I'd like Frank Shirley, my boss, right here tonight. I want him brought from his happy holiday slumber over there on Melody Lane with all the other rich people and I want him brought right here...with a big ribbon on his head! And I want to look him straight in the eye, and I want to tell him what a cheap, lying, no-good, rotten, four-flushing, low-life, snake-licking, dirt-eating, inbred, overstuffed, ignorant, blood-sucking, dog-kissing, brainless, ****less, hopeless, heartless, fat-***, bug-eyed, stiff-legged, spotty-lipped, worm-headed sack of monkey **** he is! Hallelujah! Holy *****! Where's the Tylenol?

What's the big deal with these things? Are they really good or something?
I saw one of my friends on facebook stand in line all night before Black Friday and I thought she was getting a nice TV or something, but she got one of these. I was like "wtf..??"

Rule #1-Appliances/kitchen utensils are not a good Christmas gift for a significant other.

WRONG. I would LOVE a Kitchenaid mixer. My mom has had hers since the 70s and it still runs like a champ. I've wanted one for years but haven't gotten one yet. My parents gave one to my brother's girlfriend for Christmas a couple of years ago and she loves it, too.

(in case you were wondering, yes, I am a lady)

For people that like to cook, these are the best and will last forever. My wife loves to cook and I love that she's a good cook so spending a little bit of money on high end equipment is a no brainer.

No one can judge what someone elses wife or girlfriend would want as their gift of choice that they would see as a great and even a most valued or romantic gift.

If a person is giving what their partner wants as best they understand it, who is someone else to call it a bad gift or lame.

Personally, my wife loves these types of gifts (she has 2 of these mixers). If it is a kitchen gadget chosen to try and say how much I care, she is happy..
